The Hollywood Trajectory: The Generative AI Video Timeline: 2023 – 2024 – 2025 – 2026

How fast will AI take over Hollywood? That’s the question. After YouTube; After VFX and the Nightmare of Sequels, After Netflix, Amazon and cord cutting; Remember, Napster Killed the Music Industry!! What’s next? Is AI the Machine that’s going to “Eat Hollywood.” We are already beginning to understand the impact of AI on Screenwriting, AI and Virtual Charters and AI’s impact on VFX. Video Editing is clearly in the eye of the AI storm and the role of extras not to mention complicated backgrounds that will magically appear through the power of AI. In this session, we will speculate on the impact of AI on Hollywood and try to understand the impact and growth of “The AI Blob.” How soon will entire movies, TV shows and Ads being fully produced by a giant AI. 2026? 2028? What will Hollywood look like in 2030?

Paul Trillo is a director and video artist who challenges both his own curiosity and illusion with his visually inventive, conceptual, and technical films. His diverse body of work spans various genres and formats, infusing meaning and purpose into his experimental uses of technology and technique. Whether he’s creating in-camera practical illusions, building the first mobile bullet time rig with phones, choreographing aerial smoke shows using drones, SuperBowl commercials or innovating generative AI visual effects at the Louvre, Paul is always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Recently, Trillo has explored the future of AI filmmaking, with a focus on integrating the new tools with the traditional craft. His viral visual effects experiments have not only changed the way these tools are perceived but also are intended to inspire others to explore the possibilities of this emerging tech. Peter Csathy, Media, Entertainment, AI & Tech Expert, Chairman, Creative Media: Peter is a leading international media, entertainment, AI and tech expert who has worn just about every “hat” in his 30+ year career that spans both traditional and tech-driven media. He is a frequent speaker, writes a weekly column about media, entertainment, AI and tech in TheWrap, hosts a major music podcast series on Consequence, and has written several best-selling industry books. Peter is Chairman of Creative Media, a boutique media, entertainment, AI and technology business advisory and legal services firm. He previously served as CEO and President of several pioneering media-tech companies with successful exits. He also spent several years as a senior executive at Universal Studios where he negotiated over $3 billion in deals. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and began his career as an entertainment and intellectual property attorney representing major media companies and artists, including ground-breaking rap group N.W.A.


Andy Beach: CTO of Media & Entertainment,Worldwide, Microsoft: Andy Beach is a digital media connoisseur with over 20 years of experience in marrying technology with creative business solutions. As the CTO of Media at Microsoft, he specializes in cloud and AI strategies for the media industry. An acclaimed author on video compression and a regular speaker at industry events, Andy has a track record of driving Microsoft's partnerships and deals, including with the NBA, Disney, and Fremantle. His leadership and communication skills are key in building strategic relationships across the media landscape.


RENARD T. JENKINSPresident, I2A2 Technologies, Labs & Studios President, Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE)Board Member, Hollywood Professionals Association (HPA) Advisory Board Member, Exceptional Minds Renard Jenkins is the President and CEO of I2A2 Technologies, Labs and Studios. A software development and consulting firm specializing in the creation of ethically responsible tools, solutions and experiences for the M&E, Marketing & Research, Education and Healthcare industries. He is an experienced executive in the Technology, Film, Television and Radio industry. Jenkins also currently serves as President of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and sits on the board of the Hollywood Professionals Association and the Advisory Board of Exceptional Minds. He has held Executive roles across the Technology, Media and Entertainment industry. He served as Warner Bros. Senior Vice President, Production Integration & Creative Technology Services [PICTs]. Prior to rejoining WarnerMedia and Warner Bros., Jenkins served as Vice President, Operations, Engineering & Distribution at PBS, where he was responsible for the strategic direction, technology development, engineering, and operational management of PBS’s entire media-supply chain. He has also worked for TV One, Discovery, ESPN, NBA Ent., MLB, NFL and Turner Broadcasting.He is a recipient of numerous awards, including two national Emmys, a Peabody, 2 Headliners, a 2020 Broadcasting and Cable Technology Leadership award. Jenkins was also awarded the Innovator of the Year award in 2017 for his cutting-edge work and accomplishments in UHD, HDR, NGA and supply chain technology through the PBS Advanced Format Center and other industry activities.He is a champion and advocate for ethics, inclusion, innovation, diversity, equity, acceptance, accessibility, and the removal of harmful bias wherever possible in the technology and media industry. He is also a certified sound engineer, AI/ML engineer/practitioner as well as an application designer. He is passionate about the visual arts and when time permits, he loves to provide pro bono location sound, live mixing, studio recording, post-production and finishing services for aspiring filmmakers, animators, and musicians. Jen Hollingsworth, Chief Commercial Officer: Jen Hollingsworth is an accomplished executive and leader with a unique blend of expertise in both film and artificial intelligence domains. As Chief Commercial Officer at Flawless AI, she spearheads innovative strategies and drives revenue growth for emerging Gen-AI technology in the entertainment industry, working with industry executives and content creators to maximize scalable positive impact and expand partnerships for the firm. With an illustrious career in entertainment that spans over two decades, Jen’s journey began in the film world, where she flourished as a visionary leader and trailblazer. Prior to joining Flawless, Jen was Chief Operating Officer of the Motion Picture Group at Lionsgate, where she played an instrumental role in shaping the future of the $1.5Bn motion picture business. In her role as COO, Jen was responsible for overall business strategy, finance, and organizational design. Additionally, she built and oversaw teams to support transformation, data and intelligence, inclusive content, and global licensing for location-based entertainment, gaming, and consumer products. Jen served on the Board of Atom Tickets from 2016-2023. She co-founded the non-profit Female Executives in Media and Entertainment (FEME) in 2014 and continues to serve on its Advisory Board; and she also serves on the board of Women In Film. She is a Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences where she serves as a mentor in the Academy Gold Program and serves on two Executive Committees. Additionally, Jen serves as a mentor for UCLA and University of Michigan students, and is a guest lecturer at both schools. Hollingsworth is an avid athlete and fitness enthusiast having run several marathons and competed as a former professional football player in the National Women's Football Association (NWFA). Hollingsworth holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where she currently serves on the Alumni Board of Governors, and a BS in Finance from Indiana University.
